The Cambridge Museum of Technology is a wonderful place to work, and at such an exciting point in our history, we would love to have you involved!

Job Opportunities

We are a small Museum with a big heart and at the core of that are our staff members! We are passionate about keeping Cambridge’s industrial history alight, would you join us?

Volunteer with Us

We are a Museum fuelled by our volunteers — they are our driving force and the reason we are still standing. Could you help us keep our fire going?

> Volunteer in Collections Care

Are you interested in finding out more about how we care for the collections here at Cambridge Museum of Technology?

We are currently recruiting volunteers to work in this essential and extremely interesting area of museum work.

Tasks could include preventive conservation cleaning, documentation, and cataloguing.

Ideally, we are looking for people who could volunteer for 2-3 hours every week or every fortnight as a long-term commitment. Wednesdays are preferred but there is the potential to be flexible around your other commitments.

No prior knowledge is required as full training will be given, and you will not be asked to do anything that you are not fully confident about.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about collections care and museums, to meet new people, and to give something back. Volunteers benefit from free access to the Museum, discounts in our shop, and access to further training opportunities.

If you would like further details or would like to apply, please email Lindsey Cox, Collections Officer on lindsey.cox@museumoftechnology.com before 24 July.
