We are always looking for new volunteers!
We have a job for everyone. Our volunteers welcome visitors and sell tickets, run our engines, market the Museum, maintain our buildings and grounds, help with school visits and events, give guided tours, care for our collections, and run our engines.
As a volunteer, you will develop your skills, gain experience, meet new people, and have the satisfaction of giving back. You will also get free entry to the Museum and its events, and a chance to attend private views and volunteer social events.

Volunteer in Collections Care
Are you interested in finding out more about how we care for the collections here at Cambridge Museum of Technology?
We are currently recruiting volunteers to work in this essential and extremely interesting area of museum work.
Tasks could include preventive conservation cleaning, documentation, and cataloguing.
Ideally, we are looking for people who could volunteer for 2-3 hours every week or every fortnight as a long-term commitment. Wednesdays are preferred but there is the potential to be flexible around your other commitments.
No prior knowledge is required as full training will be given, and you will not be asked to do anything that you are not fully confident about.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about collections care and museums, to meet new people, and to give something back. Volunteers benefit from free access to the Museum, discounts in our shop, and access to further training opportunities.
If you would like further details or would like to apply, please email Lindsey Cox, Collections Officer on lindsey.cox@museumoftechnology.com before 24 July
