The Museum of Cambridge have launched Tracing Traditions, a project that aims to capture present day traditions in the making. Inspired by their longest-serving curator, Enid Porter, who preserved local heritage through recording stories, the project will explore how people remember and reinvent age-old traditions and how folklore influences the way we live. Learn more about Tracing Traditions on the Museum of Cambridge's website.

As a partner on the project, Cambridge Museum of Technology is also talking to local people and collecting stories. At an event in early December, we recorded festive traditions from visitors to our site. We are also seeking experiences and opinions on how technology is changing the ways people are handling bereavement and arranging funerals. Learn more about our Tracing New Death Traditions strand and tell us your stories on our new webpage.
